  A. Clarke Atwell
 

Founder, Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Atwell is the Chief Operating Officer at Lux Biosciences Inc. Previously, Mr. Atwell served as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Enzon Pharmaceuticals Inc. In this role he was responsible for all aspects of the marketing of a diverse specialty product portfolio (Oncology, Transplantation and Infectious Disease) with a 70 person sales team. Mr. Atwell was responsible for building Enzon’s entire commercial infrastructure in less than two months.
In addition, Mr. Atwell played a lead role in the re-acquisition of Oncaspar
®, and the acquisition and integration of Abelcet®
and Depocyt
®.

Prior to joining Enzon Mr. Atwell served at Eyetech as a consultant, where among other responsibilities, Mr. Atwell prepared the first Commercial Plan for Macugen
®.

Mr. Atwell served as Director of Transplantation for Roche within the U.S., where he was responsible for the launch and growth of CellCept® into the leading immunosuppressive within the U.S. Market. This growth was based on the ability to build a sustainable franchise based on market leadership, a robust clinical program, and strong community based programs.

Prior to joining Roche, Mr. Atwell held various Global Marketing and Sales positions at Merck Inc. At Merck, Mr. Atwell played a role in the launch of Crixivan
® (protease inhibitor) and Cozaar®/Hyzaar® (first AII antagonist).

Mr. Atwell has 16 years of Marketing, Sales and Business Development experience, in both small biotechnology companies as well as global pharmaceutical companies.
